Find out your resting metabolism (RMR).

RMR is always used rather than basal metabolic rate (BMR); although they are a little bit different, estimating either one is sufficient for the objective of weight loss.

* w = weight of kilograms; in case you know the weight of yours in pounds, divide by 2.2 to get your weight in kilograms

* s = height of centimeters; if you know your height in inches, multiply by 2.54 to get your height in centimeters

* a = age of years

* g = gender = 1 for guys, zero for females

In order to get challenging abs, increase metabolism and achieve weight loss, make alterations in your caloric intake accordingly when you have the RMR of yours.

The RMR of yours is going to tell you the number of calories you need to maintain your existing weight at rest. Your daily calorie intake to maintain the weight of yours should be:

* RMR x 1.15

* Example: RMR = 2200, so the maintenance intake is 2200 x 1.15 = 2530

* In order to lose weight safely, don't consume more energy than your maintenance intake or take in less energy than your calculated RMR.

* Count calories by recording everything you take in as well as determining the amount of calories each food contains (either on the meals labels or in information supplied in books and on the web).
